New BMW M 1000 RR track-focused motorcycle teased: India launch soon

BMW Motorrad India recently teased the new M 1000 RR track-focused motorcycle on its social media handles,
hinting that the launch is imminent. BMW M 1000 RR is the first M-badged motorcycle that arrived in the Indian market in 2021. Now BMW Motorrad is all set to launch the newgen M 1000 R with carbon fibre components, increased aerodynamics, and more.
The teaser shows the upcoming BMW motorcycle will get carbon fibre components and a big BMW M badge over the fuel tank. Mechanically, the new BMW M 1000 RR will source its power from a 999cc in-line four-cylinder engine, generating a max power of
206 hp@14,500 rpm and a peak torque of 113 Nm @11,000 rpm.
Essentially a track-focused version of the S 1000 RR sports bike, the new BMW M 1000 RR gets a two-ring forged pistons and BMW ShiftCam technology that increases the output figures. Additionally, the engine also comes equipped with titanium connecting rods and adapted combustion chambers. Talking about the exhaust, it is made up of titanium, making it lighter. The new M 1000 RR will have a top speed of 314 kmph, says BMW.
Moving on to the suspension, the new BMW M 1000 R track-focused motorcycle gets a aluminum chassis with an optimised upside-down fork, reworked central spring strut and more adjustable swingram pivot point. For braking, the motorcycle gets 320mm twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear.
The upcoming BMW M 1000 RR will come equipped with traction and wheelie control with a 6-axis IMU, cornering ABS and adjustable engine braking levels. It will get four racing modes - Road, Rain, Dynamic, and Race, and 3 Race Pro modes.
Featuring a 6.5-inch TFT instrument cluster with an 'M' start animation, the new BMW M 1000 R will receive clutchless-gear shifts, hill-start assist, an OBD interface for GPStracked data logging, a USB charging socket, integrated LED lights and launch control.
We expect the new BMW M 1000 RR to cost a premium over the current-gen model, which is priced at Rs 42 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. Upon launch, it will go up against the likes of the Ducati Panigale V4 R, costs Rs 70 lakh (ex-showroom).
