Ride to Ladhak 2024!
We started our day with a hearty breakfast in Srinagar, gearing up for an exciting ride towards Kargil. The weather, ranging from 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F), offered a perfect vibe as we climbed higher altitudes. Our first stop was at the picturesque Sonamarg Meadows, at an altitude of approximately 9,186 feet.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly conquering the majestic Zojila Pass, standing tall at 11,575 feet. The panoramic vistas from this high-altitude pass left us speechless, capturing the raw beauty of the Himalayas.
In the afternoon, we paid our respects at the Kargil War Memorial, a deeply moving tribute to our brave soldiers, situated at an altitude of about 8,727 feet. As the sun began to set, we checked into our accommodations at Rangyul Resort and Hotel Rangyul in Kargil, where we had our dinner and relaxed after a day filled with thrilling rides and unforgettable experiences.
